Step 1: Club Membership
Complete the membership form available on www.racecontrol.co.za
2024
Membership fees (R 1000 – Adults, R 600 for under 18)
Paid up members will get
into the draw for the year end Cash Prize and the Year Championship
Step 2: MSA License
Go to https://www.msaonline.co.za/
a. Register
b. Medical
Declaration –
a. if you
are over 50 and you hold a National or International License, you will need to
submit an ECG test to MSA every 5 years before your medical declaration will be
approved so this is a 2 day process.
b. If you
are on any chronic medicine, your declaration will stay pending – email Rashaad@motorsport.co.za with
a list of medicine/conditions and he will approve your medical declaration
after which you can continue
c. Complete Indemnity
d. Declare
club joined in step 1 – for this you will need to be a member of ANY
MSA Affiliated Club
e. Purchase
a. Select
type (Cross Country – You can ride offroad/enduro and MX with this license.
Also specify if it’s a club/Regionals/National License. This will depend on the
class you ride and if it falls under a club or regional class)
i. Club:
R1480 for an Annual license to ride all the Offroad/Enduro/MX with the cheapest
medical option
ii. Nationals:
R3500 for an Annual license to ride all the Offroad/Enduro/MX with the cheapest
medical option
b. Select
medical insurance
f. Pay for
license (R 1460 for an Annual license to ride all the
Offroad/Enduro/MX with the cheapest medical option)
g. Alternatively,
you can get a One Event club license (If you don’t have
medical aid) for R750 per event or a One
event Social license for
R155 and sign the indemnity proxy letter and grant WCOC permission to obtain
this license from MSA on your behalf (Proof of Medical aid will need to be
supplied).
Step 3: Bike
Number & Number Board Colors
Juniors (Club Licenses Only):
Club (Bikes & Quads) – Black number on Yellow backing
Seniors (Club Licenses Only):
Club (Bikes & Quads) – Black number on Yellow backing
Step 4: Sign up for a race event.
The link
for the race entries will be made public as soon as the race entries open
around 2 weeks before a race. Please ensure that you follow our social media
pages and is at least on one of the communication groups.

Step 4. What to take with
· Fire extinguisher -
min capacity 2.5 Kg per competitor.
· Environmental mat - Min
50cm square. Old piece of PVC or Tarpaulin will do.
· Medical kits – For sale at
event.
· Medical board – For sale at
event.
· Hydration Pack.
6. Pit Lane
· No speeding in the pit lane
- Idling speed.
· No overtaking in pit lane
unless someone is struggling with a mechanical issue in front of you.
· No refueling while sitting
on bike/quad (penalty is exclusion).
· No smoking in pit area
· No fires in pit area
· No alcohol consumption in
pit lane
· No practice riding around
the pit area – this leads to accidents!
7. General race etiquette
· When caught by another
competitor – let him/her past
· Stop at road crossing or
any Stop sign place by the organizers – stop 100% stationary and only proceed
when safe to do so (penalty is exclusion). This will be monitored.
· Stop to assist an injured
competitor.
· Report any incidents of
concern – such as fire / flooding etc…
· Ride within your means and full
control of your machine.
· Do not venture onto the
route to fetch someone or broken bike without the COC permission.
· Report to the medics if you
have fallen – very important, you cannot claim later if you did not register
with the medics at the event!
· Under No Circumstances can
you change direction (Turn around) during the race at any time.
